Terms & Refunds

These Terms & Refunds ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of SSL certificates and digital services from WithMe Secure, a service operated by WithMe Holding Ltd ("WithMe", "we", "us"), a company registered in Kenya. By placing an order on this website you agree to these Terms.

1. Services we provide

We resell SSL/TLS certificates issued by third-party Certificate Authorities (such as Digicert, Sectigo, Thawte and Geotrust partners) and provide related digital services including custom software development, API integration, utility and smart-metering automation, DNS services and data analysis. Certificates are issued by the relevant Certificate Authority ("CA"); we act as a reseller and facilitator of issuance, validation and support.

2. Pricing and payment

  • All prices are shown in Kenya Shillings (KES) unless stated otherwise, and are inclusive of applicable taxes where indicated.
  • We accept payment by M-PESA and PayPal. PayPal payments are processed in US Dollars (USD); the USD amount is converted from the KES price at our prevailing rate at checkout, and any currency-conversion or card fees applied by PayPal or your bank are your responsibility.
  • An order is confirmed only once payment has been received and reflected against your order reference.
  • Prices for certificates and services may change at any time, but confirmed orders are honoured at the price paid.

3. Issuance and delivery

  • Domain-Validated (DV) certificates are typically issued within minutes after successful domain control validation. Organisation-Validated (OV) and Extended-Validation (EV) certificates require additional checks by the CA and may take longer.
  • You are responsible for completing validation steps (DNS, email or file verification), for providing an accurate Certificate Signing Request (CSR) where required, and for ensuring the contact and organisation details you submit are correct.
  • Delivery is electronic. Issued certificates and related instructions are sent to the email address on your order and/or made available through your account or the CA's portal.

4. Refund policy — SSL certificates

SSL certificates are digital products subject to the issuing CA's own refund rules. Our policy reflects those constraints:

  • Before issuance: if a certificate has not yet been issued, you may request a full refund within 30 days of purchase.
  • After issuance: once a certificate has been issued, refunds are available only within the CA's money-back window (commonly up to 30 days) and only where the CA permits cancellation. Approved refunds in this case are net of any non-recoverable CA or processing fees.
  • After the refund window, or once a certificate has been actively used, the purchase is non-refundable.
  • Reissues and re-keys are free for the life of the certificate. Because most issuance problems can be resolved by a free reissue, a refund will not normally be granted where a reissue would address the issue.
  • We cannot refund charges that arise from incorrect information you supplied (for example, an invalid CSR, a wrong domain, or failed validation caused by your DNS or email configuration).

5. Refund policy — services and quoted work

  • Custom software, integration, automation, DNS and data-analysis engagements are quoted per project. Where a deposit or milestone payment is made, work already performed up to the point of cancellation is non-refundable.
  • Quoted services that have not commenced may be cancelled for a refund of any amount paid, less any third-party costs already incurred on your behalf (such as licences, domains or hosting purchased for the project).
  • Recurring or subscription services may be cancelled for future periods; amounts already paid for the current period are not refunded on a pro-rata basis unless required by law.

6. How to request a refund

Send your refund request, quoting your order reference, to the email address on our Contact page. We will review eligible requests and, where approved, process the refund to your original payment method:

  • M-PESA: refunds are returned to the M-PESA number used for payment.
  • PayPal: refunds are returned to the PayPal account or card used, in USD; we are not responsible for exchange-rate differences between the amount you paid and the amount refunded.

Approved refunds are typically processed within 14 business days. The time for funds to reach you depends on M-PESA, PayPal or your bank.

7. Renewals

Certificates do not auto-renew unless you arrange this with us. It is your responsibility to renew before expiry to avoid service interruption. We may send renewal reminders as a courtesy but cannot guarantee delivery of such reminders.

8. Warranties and limitation of liability

Any warranty attached to a certificate is provided by the issuing CA, directly to the certificate subscriber, on the CA's terms. To the maximum extent permitted by law, WithMe Holding Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that purchase. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under the laws of Kenya.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to use our certificates or services for unlawful purposes, to misrepresent identity, or in breach of the issuing CA's subscriber agreement. We may decline or cancel an order where we reasonably believe it breaches these Terms or a CA's requirements.

10. Privacy

Information you provide is used to process orders, complete certificate validation and provide support. Validation data is shared with the relevant CA as required for issuance. See our Privacy Policy for details.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and any dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
